Well, what can I say? I began painting with my mom in the basement at age 11. She was a nurse in "real" life. I tried being a "real" person, with a "big girl job" Oh man I tried hard to be what I wasn't.
But. I was always drawn to Art- my nose in art books, going to museums, and admiring my mothers art skills. I felt deep down ART was the only thing that made sense in the world. Art Transforms. Art heals.
Between short stints at "real" jobs I always returned to making art. My Scandinavian family thought artists were crazy, drunks, and probably both. And you certainly couldn't make a living at it.. "Take a typing class" I did. "Oh well" I finally said in my thirties, "this art business is just going to have to work out" I said it loud and clear to the universe. Shortly after, angels appeared to lead the way and open doors. Not kidding, it was freaky weird, but true.
It now feels like me traveling close to my inner river. The place I belong. I now want to teach you how to access your river of creativity (we all have one) and live your big artist life.
ART FREES YOUR SPIRIT AND FEEDS YOUR SOUL. THE WORLD NEEDS WHAT CREATIVES HAVE TO GIVE. WE NEED OUR HUMAN TOUCH BACK, OUR JOY IN BEAUTY OUR CONNECTION TO HUMANITY. Okay, that is my soap box.
